Diary of a Mystic August
Follow me on my journey as a modern day mystic!
Schools out! Last year I found it a real struggle to get the balance of the shop and looking after the kids, but this year working on my own it’s actually easier. In the first couple of weeks the boys are with their dad in Spain. Turns out hes got engaged and is planning on remarrying – I might be able to get my divorce at last!
The Month starts off with a celebration of Lammas, our pagan summer festival. It’s a great evening as we celebrate the harvest and prepare or the next few months
With all the drama of the past few months, and with the boys away, Colin and I decide to go on a last-minute break to Malaga. Oh my gosh, it was hot! Baking hot but so lovely. I didn’t take my phone, not by choice but ended up being the best thing ever. Missed the photos though but took some on Col’s phone. The break was exactly what we needed. We stayed in the Spanish part so mixed with the locals no tourists at all and bussed to the main beach every day. Really relaxing.
Once back its all systems go! I’ve been toying with the idea of an E mag for a while now, so I meet with some friends and we put it into action. It’s going to be called Mystic Rebel Magazine. Already we have had loads of interest, it’s super exciting! I’ve also been asked to do some more TV work and events from outside the area which I’m looking forward too.
I chose not to put on too many events this summer so I could enjoy it with the kids, they are that little bit older so do their own thing more but we do get a few days in bristol together. I’ve been going there since I was a child, staying at my aunts and cousin and now I get to take my boys there. We go with my dad, my brother, my sister in law, (no passport required) my nephew and my boys. The weather isn’t too great so we visit museums and get to go on Concorde. I’m not one to pick up on energies from buildings, but I defiantly pick up the energies while on board. We have lots of fun together, eat loads and just enjoy spending family time together
Once back I am keen to get all the autumn and winter events sorted. This takes some but eventually, all the shop’s events are booked in right up to Christmas. They include a new positive living group, new networking group, workshops on tarot, palmistry, dowsing, numerology and so much more. I’ve got a friend helping with the admin side of things now too.
Plans are in action for our next 2 America trips dates coming soon, I love being out there it feels like a second home.
My new oracle cards are coming on well, I am so excited about these and can’t wait to show them to you all.
In between doing readings at my shop and in Selfridges, I take the boys to an outdoor water park in the new forest, not far from us. It’s amazing! So much fun – I ache like a bitch for several days after but would do it again for sure! I actually think the adults enjoyed it more than the kids/
Despite it being the Summer holidays, I have had lots of new clients come in the shop, many have heard about it and now have the chance to actually visit! Its great word is getting round about the Mystic River Lounge.
