Diary of a mystic June!
Can you believe we are half way through the year already! As we come into June there is a small sign of a new normal happening. I had decided to open the shop on the 23rd June for take aways and the gifts shop but as the month moves on, its becoming more and more apparent that some people don’t give a fuck, so we have decided to wait until the hospitality side of things opens from the 4th July and will open on Tuesday 7th July.
As it turns out it was the best thing to do as the weather this last 2 weeks has been awesome! Ive have really enjoyed this last couple of weeks especially, making the most of the time off.
So June, what have I been up too!
Well, decorating is the main thing! Last minute I decided to buy some new furniture for the shop, we have the a fabulous purple settee and gorgeous peacock blue chair, I had ordered some bright orange chairs also but when we were in trying to fit everything together, it was just too much for the space so they have gone back! We have had a deep clean, ready and installed new safety measures, new hand santaisers and moved the kitchen area around creating a simpler look! While I have been enjoying the break away, I am starting to get excited about returning to the Mystic River Lounge and seeing everyone again. I have had quite a few requests for face to face readings but I am continuing phone only for another few weeks. Ay home I have pretty much had the whole house re vamped, including the front door and gate! Its all part of my new Feng shui living! The summer solstice came and went, and was a rather wet one! The past few years I have been lucky enough to go to Stone Henge with a group of pagan friends for a private ceremony. This has been done a day or 2 before the actual date allows us to have privacy. This year I celebrated in my own way with my alter and wishes in the garden. The garden has been my magic place this Summer, I have loved spending time out side tending it and waiting the new flowers come and go.
While I have been kept busy with my own readings on and from Psychic Sisters working from home, it has been my face book group that has really grown! The daily engagement has been wonderful and I have over 2000 members. We have been doing lots of work on our shadow self, this has been such an interest topic. We have also been looking at astrology, different tarot decks, my different moon spreads and numerology. I have been loving our live interview sessions with Suzette as the Mystic and The medium, we have had some lovely guests, last week we had astrologer, author and qabalah expert David Wells, previous we had celebrity animal psychic Jackie Weaver, and now a girls trip to L.A. is being planned! Soon we have one of my fave subject Feng Shui, A lady from Texas – 
Amanda Peters joining us! 
Out Loose Mystics has also been great fun and we are really starting to build and audience now. These are all being shared into my YOUTUBE account – Kate May Modern Day Mystic – which has been building nicely as I had hoped over lock down, having tines to be creative on these projects has ben wonderful, now I need to keep it up!
Lots of people have been asking for regular mediations, I am working with a musician to create something fabulous for you all.
I have also completed my new oracle cards! Next stop he printers! Woohoo – I do need a name for them though so any suggestions welcome – to get a look check out my instagram or face book page
So as we come to the end of June, my son Ollie, celebrates his 11 birthday – who knew 11 years ago I was about to have my second perfect baby and go into tarot readings as a full time profession! 
I am thankful for the lock down on a personnel front, it has aloud me to stop and slow right down, when you have a passion for your work as much as I do , slowing down is real hard! I have enjoyed the lovely walks with my boys, the deep conversations, I defiantly think we have grown a lot closer. I feel I have a stronger sense of purpose now and have got so much done its incredible! I look back on the last 3 month with mixed emotions for everyone else though, as this has been so hard for many. The next time I write, we will be through July and hopefully life will be a ,little more interesting then just my fabulous newly 
decorated four walls!
