We are now entering the year of the tiger!
The most important holiday for billions of people in China and around the world, Lunar New Year is a two-week celebration that this year starts on February 1.
Also known as the Spring Festival, the festivities will see homes festooned with red paper lanterns and families gather to share sumptuous feasts. Feasts can include symbolic dishes such as dumplings (to represent gold ingots) and noodles (to denote long life).

Tigers seem to be the epitome of contradictions because their personality is so dynamic. They can go from being fiery and fearless to calm and emotional in a blink of an eye.
